Il f\u00fbt attach\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019ambassade des Pays-Bas, et f\u00fbt le premier directeur du NIMAR \u00e0 Rabat de 2005-2009 et directeur int\u00e9rimaire du CTC \u00e0 La Haye. A la retraite, il s\u2019est affili\u00e9 au Centre d\u2019\u00c9tudes Africaines de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Leiden.
